Unit 7 Reading Summary
American Art consist of art from Central and South America. A lot of american art came out of Meso-America. One of the first major art styles from Meso-American is Olmec. Many american art pieces were temples and large stone works used for religious and ritual purpose. Their art often incorporated animals and heads of humans. Religion or Beliefs played a huge role in the art of the Americas.
Unit 6 Reading Summary
Chinese Art is a very unique type of art. Chinese Art is highly influenced by many different cultures. Chinese art has mainly different culture incorporated within their art such as neolithic, painted pottery, liangzhu and bronze age cultures. Dynasty also played a very important role in Chinese art. The difference in cultures and dynasty is can be seen in the different aspect and styles within Chinese art.
Buddha is the philosopher of the Buddhism Religion. He is known as the “awakened one” or “enlightened one”. The Buddhist religion believes in happiness and to avoid suffering.
